Hey Scotty, got a 2011 Rav4 with 106,000 miles. When starting it initially goes to 2,000 rpm, then drops to 1,500rpm and stays there for about 10 seconds until finally going to 800-1,000 rpm. The car doesn't idle rough after that initial start up and drives well. My 2005 mustang (47,000 miles) does the same but only goes up to 1,500rpm, then shortly goes to about 800-1,000 rpm. Any reason for this and could it be bad?

you can't really compare to a Mustang engine.
Is this something your Rav4 only started doing recently?
