How do I make my Civic go faster

Hey Scotty, I own a 2013 Honda Civic ex, I love it! My question is what do you suggest I do as far as steps to take to make my car faster? Yes I’ve heard turbo, cold air intake and an engine swap but what other things can I buy and install myself? Intake manifold? Catylic converter? (Straight piping it?) thanks!

You could always take a tip from this VW owner...

Yeah…just make sure you don’t get your wires crossed! 😯

A regular Civic is a daily driver and for its use it goes fast enough so not sure why you would want to make it go faster unless you'll be going on a race track or something. I just don't find it worth it to do those modifications on an almost 10year old daily driver car.

Drive downhill with a tailwind

Cars get faster either by making the engine more powerful, or making the car lighter.

150hp on a 2000lbs car is usually faster than 150hp on a 2500lbs, for example.
Removing unnecessary weight in your car will make it faster. It may make it less comfortable. But it will be faster.

It sounds like you are familiar with getting a bit more horsepower out of the engine, with some modification.  But it’s not going to be drastic.
