Hello all,
Today, I checked the power steering fluid level in my 2011 VW Jetta 2.0 and it is below the minimum level required. I initially thought to just go and buy a bottle of power steering fluid specified for the car and top it up, but I've read that I should not do that (possibly mixing fluids) and have the power steering system flushed and fluid replaced.
What's the correct way to deal with this? I don't want to damage the power steering system by doing something foolish.

If the original fluid is still in there after 14 years it should be changed. Use the fluid specified in your owner's manual. Bear in mind of course that low fluid means you have a leak. You can use UV dye to find the source if it is not readily apparent.
