I am a very small used car dealer in Michigan and I have bought a few 2012-2014 Chevrolet Equinoxs and almost all have required a timing chain and rear seal change. Chevrolet isn't doing anything to fix these problems . Is there any way to approach GM to help out with these?
Thank you
Unless GM has been forced to issue a recall they're not going to do anything for vehicles that are around a decade old in age. It's not likely in this instance since it is not a safety or emissions issue. (There's a reason why most of us on this site tell people to steer clear of post-bankruptcy GM products.)
GM has hordes of well paid lawyers to help the company weasel out of taking responsibility for the junk they build.
Maybe if you got together with some other people, and took on some lawyers who were interested in the case (they love the smell of money) then maybe you could launch a class action lawsuit. But don't expect to get anything out of it (unless you're a lawyer). You would be doing it for the principle.
