What should the MAF reading at idle be (in g/s) on a 2012 Audi A3 2.0 TFSI? I know Scotty says the reading should about match the engine size, but I'm finding forum posts saying it should actually be about double, like in the 3-4.5 g/s range. On cold starts, my car is cranking slightly longer than typical and idling a little jittery with the high idle on until it comes down and then it's fine. I unplugged the sensor and started the car cold and it idled fine but the high idle was not on. I'm trying to sort out if the sensor could be out of calibration or bad. Thank you!
Well you’ve posted this exact question, three times now. When you click on the submit button, wait for a few moments for the question to be posted to the forum. Please don’t repeatedly click on it in desperation. Multiple posts on the same topic are against forum rules.
Huh. Okay. I was not aware of the multiple posts. There was a delay in posting. Good to know but there's no need to threaten people with forum rules when the system simply works slow and we may not be familiar with it.
"No, officer I am not familiar with the speed limit. Everybody was just driving too slow for me"
Try cleaning it. Has it ever been cleaned in 9 years?
Yes, I cleaned it not too long ago. Looking at my readings over time, it's slowly drifted down from around 2.8 to 2.3 g/s at idle. Maybe it's dying a slow death.
Scotty was talking about naturally aspirated engines. Yours is turbocharged.
Try calling an Audi tech.
I suspected that. Tried searching the web to see if turbocharged values were different, but no luck. Thanks.
