2005 Dodge Grand Caravan cranks but doesn't get spark.

Hi there,

I have a 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan that cranks, but won't start. It stopped working in the middle of the road while driving it. I have changed the spark plugs, spark plug wires, coil pack, and the cam & crank sensors. It still won't spark. I watched your videos, and other YouTube videos, but I still can't figure out why it won't spark. What else could be the problem with it? Thank you for your time and help! I appreciate it!

If that new coil pack is getting 12 volts and Ground switching signals it should be producing spark.

It's not. So the 1st thing to figure out is which one of those 2 are missing? Is the coil pack receiving 12 volts? Is the coil pack receiving the Ground switching signals from the PCM?

That's easy enough to test. Here's a link to walk you through how to do it step-by-step with a cheap multimeter and test light.

Circuit labeled 1: Switching Signal Circuit for Spark Plugs 3 and 6.

Circuit labeled 2: Switching Signal Circuit for Spark Plugs 1 and 4.

Circuit labeled 3: Power (12 Volts) Circuit

Circuit labeled 4: Switching Signal Circuit for Spark Plugs 2 and 5.

Check your engine ground strap.

Check the fuel pump. If you don't hear a buzzing sound when the key is in the on position then your fuel pump is out and needs to be replaced.
