2012 cady CTS coupe, 3,6 V6 AWD. 64K slid down icy driveway ebrake and in park, sheared coupling between front and rear drive, had repaired. Car surges and jerks while accelerating, check engine light is not coming on. second time car spent at dealer and they cant find anything wrong since the check engine light is not coming on, I suspect the center case, again the dealer cant find anything in the computer, HELP!
Sliding on ice in park should not have caused "sheared coupling between front and rear drive". Any other info? Get a good code reader and let's look at live data while it is messing up. Shocked the dealer level scan tool didn't find anything...
@hillbilly
when the car slid down the driveway the drivers side front wheel hit a 6" high stump, since the car was in park and the ebrake was engaged it broke the coupling between the front and rear drive. This was repaired and a bearing replaced. The engine check light has never come on so it has never stored a problem in the computer. the car acts like a miss, surge, of course it wouldnt do it for the dealer. I spoke with the mechanic yesterday, he said until the check engine light comes on there is nothing they can do except start tearing the car apart looking for issues which would be expensive. Thanks for the reply.
That makes more sense. What else is on that side where damage occurred? Look for electrical connection issues/problems there. Code reader live will definitely point you in a direction as data will be bad somewhere during the surging.
