HVAC blower stops working randomly

Hello Sir, I have a 2012 Chevy Colorado with a 5.3 V8 engine.  Love this truck.  However the heater/AC blower started to work only randomly.  I have taken it to a private mechanic who I know and trust and his recommendation was to take it to the Chevy dealer.  I did and about $1000 later and changing wires and the resistor and the blower itself, the problem is not fixed.  This is a real head scratcher.  I have to make this work since trucks are way too overpriced.  Can't afford even a used one.

Thank you.

Looking at the wiring diagram for the blower motor it looks like control basically comes down to the HVAC control module. If the blower motor and basic electrical components have been replaced that suggests an intermittent fault in that module, unless there's a wiring fault somewhere that was not found. (It sounds like the dealer used the parts cannon approach.)

Your dealership and private mechanic are absolutely useless. They just gave up without fixing this easy problem? This is a very simple circuit to diagnose for anyone with basic knowledge. I would demand they put the old parts back in since you know they're not the problem and get most of your money back. Then take it to a mechanic who's actually qualified to work on cars and can properly diagnose electrical issues.

I can't believe they can't even be bothered to check the service manual which gives step by step instructions.
