So I made the mistake of buying a 2012 Chevy Cruze 1.4t and the coolant won’t circulate. it threw a code for the thermostat then it started overheating. Started it the next morning and it still said it was overheating after sitting so I replaced both temp sensors & the thermostat, then I noticed it would boil before it got to 200, can put your hand on the thermostat it’s ice cold when the others burning hot, tried the water pump, another thermostat, radiator, lower hose, blew air through all the hoses for blockages and block leak tested it multiple times cold and at operating temp. idk what else to try and no engine codes. The heats burning hot too

New radiator cap and check the heater core.  When you say "tried the water pump, another thermostat...."  what does that mean?  Did you replace them with new?

I put a new thermostat in it, thought it was defective so bought another, it has a new water pump, a new radiator, new cap, new lower hose… and the heat works fine I took off all the small hoses and took another hose and could blow air through everything

if it's boiling before it gets to 200F then the pressure cap isn't doing its job.

It has a new cap, the coolants not circulating and checked everything for blockages, nothing I’m sure it has to do with the electronic thermostat

Does the fan come on?
