[Solved] 2012 Dodge Caravan - grinding noise on front driver side wheel when turning

I own a 2012 Dodge Grand Caravan and recently have noticed a grinding sound whenever I am slowly turning, especially when I've turned the wheel as far as it will go (backing out of a stall, adjusting wheel to drive forward).  Occasionally, I hear a faint rubbing sound (like the tire is rubbing against something) but not often.  Power steering is good (easy turning, no squealing).  There is no whinny noise when I get up to speed. No grinding when I'm turning a corner at speed that I've noticed. What do I need to look for to diagnose my issue?

First look and see if the CV rubber boot has ripped which would mean the CV joint is one and you need a new drive shaft on that side. If not that check the brakes. You could be down to the metal on the brakes and they would grind. And the only other thing that really grinds is if the wheel bearings are really bad they will grind

@scottykilmer thank you. I'll look into those possibilities.
