I have a 2012 Dodge Journey that keeps locking up. The brake pedal becomes hard and I can't start the car. I read something about safety lockout but the pedal being hard it won't start. Has happened 3 times already. What could be the isuue.
Now which pedal do you mean? If you mean the brake pedal then you got something wrong with a brake booster system. But if you mean the accelerated paddle then yeah you've got electronic problems and you're going to have to see an expert on that one. Realize dodgers have crappy electronics and all kinds of weird things can happen when they break down. I personally would never buy one for that reason
It's the brake pedal. Would that also cause the car to turn off once it's being running.
Would it be the brake booster as a whole or could the pump be the cause.
