i have a mustang gt and my friends keep telling me to go straight pipe what are your thoughts on That ?

@kioseg0717
A straight pipe exhaust will reduce the amount of pressure that is put on an engine by exhaust gases, which will let an engine function better overall. You'll see an increase in both horsepower and torque when you put a straight pipe exhaust into place.

Depends if you have to pass emissions inspection still in your state. If not and you enjoy the sound - go for it! There are videos on YouTube that show the different sounds of different exhaust setups.

I have a 1987 Ford Mustang GT with the 5.0 and I had straight pipe at one time sure it sounded great but I did have other issues with it, the lack of back pressure cause no lower end grunt it's a track car basically. The issue you will run into is emission related if your going true straight pipe it will fail emissions. Muffler delete and resonator delete those are fine and don't affect emissions at all.

Yup! If your in a state with no emission regs, straight pipes are a great way to reduce exhaust back pressure for better performance. Just don't forget you ear plugs.

Straight pipe exhaust is LOUD so put some thought into it before jumping into because of a friend. I went with a engine back exhaust and its LOUD so be ready to make further modifications based on your preferences. Check youtube for how they sound and see if its for you.
