2012 Honda Insight P0302

I have a 2012 Honda Insight hybrid automatic. Everything was great until the engine light came on with a bunch of other warning lights. It came back as a misfire in one of the cylinders. I replaced all the spark plugs but it still hasn’t gone away. It is also eating coolant now. Is this a known problem in these engines and is it worth fixing or replacing the engine?

What codes are you getting?

The code I’m getting is P0302

If you can get us the exact codes, we may be able to help better.

In the meantime, you can try switching the coils, to see if the misfire moves. But before you do that, make sure you know which cylinder is misfiring with the scan tool.

The code is P0302 after changing the spark plugs a friend suggested switching the coils but I kept getting the same code with the misfire in the second cylinder.

Replace your pressure cap, and see if that helps the coolant loss.

You can read about misfires in the FAQ section.
