- Hey Scotty. I have a 2012 hyndai Santa Fe with 200,000 miles that started off dying at stop lights. I’ve changed the transmission fluid and reset the Tcm, changed the spark plugs and coils and reset the ecm. Now it shakes all the time has really bad gas mileage jerks hard when in the highway and stalls after hitting the gas after a stop sign. I took it to a couple of mechanics but it’s not throwing any codes so they say they don’t know where to start to fix it. Any ideas?

Those must be amazingly lazy mechanics. Codes are just the beginning of the diagnostic process. They should be recording and analyzing data for problems.
For that matter they could have checked easy stuff fruit like air and fuel filters and fuel pressure, maybe cleaned the throttle body and MAF sensor and checked for vacuum leaks.
It sounds like you need to find a real mechanic.
I told the last mechanic that I can scan codes and go from there. I need a mechanic to do the things I can’t. I forgot to mention that I cleaned the throttle body and map sensor (there is no maf) and checked the filters.
