My wife's journey has had code P06DD for quite a while now and is almost always in limp mode. I have tried changing from full synthetic oil back to conventional with the correct weight. Also, replaced the oil pump and solenoid. My main question, I guess, is do I have to get the pump and solenoid from the dealer? I bought one off eBay that is OE quality for cheaper and I'm wondering if that is the problem. My last two ideas are to try using a dealer filter and replacing the PCM. Thanks in advance.
I would never buy important parts off Ebay or Amazon. They say OEM but who knows? I get stuff at local parts stores with a limited lifetime warranty so I can take it back if there's a problem. I can't wait for shipping and all that. I need to fix it NOW.
Have you checked the oil pressure sensor for conductivity and proper function?
I replaced the entire oil filter housing which came with both sensors and a new filter because it was leaking at least 2 quarts between 3,000 mile oil changes.
