Scotty,
I was given a 2007 Cadillac CTS 6 cylinder automatic car with 195k miles on it by my wife’s grandparents to use as a daily driver. I used it for awhile and then it started having problems with bank 2 cylinder misfires, off timing issues and dying off while idling. I changed the spark plugs, spark plug tube seals (because there was oil in the tubes), upper and lower intake gaskets, coils, and cleaned the values on the intake while I was in there. And of course changed the oil and filter. Those have seemed to fix the problem (idk exactly which fix did it) and the car is running way better. Now I just want to know what would be the best actions to take next to help get the most I can out of this vehicle? Should I flush the coolant? Should I risk changing the transmission fluid? Any other changes I should make with the mileage it has? I am not sure exactly what was maintained by my wife’s grandparents. I use this car as a daily driver to drive 80 miles a day to and from work.
The help is much appreciated!
Should I flush the coolant?
Do you have overheating issues? How does the coolant look like?
Should I risk changing the transmission fluid?
If it has not been changed, leave it alone.

To be honest, I do not consider that car as areliable transportation. Hope you have a back up car.
The coolant looks normal, I may test it with the test strip Scotty talked about. Why do you feel this car is unreliable? Is there any fixes I can make to make it more reliable?
Becasue of the nature of that car. You don't expect much for a 15 years old Cadillac with around 200k miles. For the car last the longest, change the engine oil and filter frequesntly and do not drive the car hard.
It's going to be horrendous money pit.
I would get rid of it.

It’s pretty much past its useful life, and certainly not for a daily driver. I would get rid of it in this HOT seller’s market.
