Hi Scotty this is Payton. My Grandparents own a 2012 Kia Sedona with over 180,000 miles. Runs perfect on the road, good gas mileage, plenty of oil, but one thing that concerns me is the knock it makes when it cold starts. It knocks when it turns over and stops after 3 seconds and runs perfectly fine. It doesn’t do that when it’s done being used when the engine is warm. What could this symptom possibly be?

Well, if it is an actual knocking sound that's usually pissed and slap. The Pistons are knocking around. Because of worn bearings. Means the engine's going to wear out
