Scotty!!! I have been following you for several months. I was about to buy a used Suburban, Tahoe, Yukon or Escalade. After watching your videos, my search totally changed. I just bought a 2012 Lexus LS460 with 59k miles. Second owner, never wrecked or rebuilt. Prior to buying this one, several lots had LS460's that tried to hide the fact they were rebuilt titles. Lots of scams. Previous owner passed in December, and the dealer I bought this from was his best friend. Was selling the car for his widow. I lucked out, I think.
Is there anything you can think of I should pay special attention to? I know these have pretty good track records. My nephew is in the resale parts business, and he said his company has never had an engine or transmission come through. Thanks for your time....Joe
Just make sure you keep up with maintenance. They are good cars and if you treat it well it should take care of you.
Maintenance and repairs can get $$$$ but they are great cars if you don't mind making an extra bank account for upkeep of an LS.
You should have gotten the redesigned 2013 ls. But, you should maintain it and put premium gas in that thing as it drinks a lot of gas. And, you also will have to replace the immense amount of technology as tech breaks on any car. even lexus. If you have the money to maintain it, put nice gas in it, and do fully synthetic oil changes in it, I think it was a good car. But, honestly, I think the es350 or gs350 would've been better options as they have a lot more room to work, get better fuel economy, and the v6's are lesxus's specialty and they are known to never need maintenance. done.
