Car dies within seconds of flooring gas pedal. 2012 Kia Optima Turbo. It starts again after waiting almost exactly one hour. It happened at least four times on highway. Now I never floor it, so no problem. Car drives perfectly otherwise. I can merge on to freeways at 80 mph without problem. Drives all day on freeway or in town. 110,000 miles. Tried switching to premium at a mechanic's suggestion. Thought fixed it, but then it happened again. Any and all thoughts appreciated.
There are many things which could cause that. It could be a turbo problem. It could be a fuel pump problem. It can be a computer problem. You're going to need an excellent mechanic to analyze it with the fancy fan tool and drive it till it dies. Then that data analyzed to find a cause
