My 2012 Ram 2500 5.7 Hemi automatic with 117500 (73000 miles) recently started throwing p0303 and p0307 codes. It has a barely noticeable misfire at idle and low speeds but shakes to death if asked for power.
I suspect the dreaded lifter failure but before going worst case I went to swap coils and put new plugs in. When I pulled the coil the plug boot tore in half. I managed to get the remainder out thankfully.
Do you have any tips for pulling the other coils in the future so I don't tear the boot? Any ideas on what the misfire may be beside that?
