Hey there mr. Kilmer

i have a 2012 gti with some rpm problems . When shifting into neutral the cars rpms stay stuck at 1100 the drop slowly to normal idle after 5-15 seconds or longer sometimes. I have smoke tested the car and nothing has proven a visible vacuum leak. I did notice that when i turn the ac on the cars rpms are working perfectly fine, its only when the ac is off im seeing this issue. I was wondering if u had any insight of where to look or what can cause this, i had the rear main seal fixed as of 2k miles ago back in november of 2022. Im running out of ideas, so far i have changed the pcv, spark plugs, purge valve, cleaned the throttle body, the water temp sensors and have even added a catch can. I do t know what else to check or do.

Well those are notorious for having maf sensors wear out  start by checking that. And you might also try my video. Make your car run better with a little spray cleaner. Scotty on YouTube
