I have a 2012 S60 T5 Volvo with 107,000 miles. It seems to be running well except recently it began to use oil, about 1 quart per tank of gas. If I step on the gas hard to activate the turbo some bluish gray smoke is seen. I took it to a Volvo dealer who did a compression test. He said the engine was ruined and needed to be replaced. He did not tell me which cylinders were involved or how much pressure loss there was. I went to another
Garage who ran a diagnostic and came up with the following codes. PO336 -00, P0008-00,P000B-77 and P054-00. I was told that a new timing belt would take care of the problem. I was also told it needed a ring job. I was also told to get rid of the car. Any ideas?
If it burn they much oil, the oil rings are worn out. Either you should rebuild the engine or replace it with another one. I don't think replacing the timing belt can help it.
