Mr. Kilmer, I will make my last car payment in June 2021. I will own my 2012 VW CC 2.0turbo automatic with 110k (purchased with 36k already on it in 2015). I have put on 70% highway miles. The work that has been done under warranty are all new ignition coils and the infamous carbon cleaning. Other than that it's been new tires, battery, antifreeze container, and religious oil changes as advised by dealer. My question is should I start to look for a more reliable option...lexus, toyota, etc? The miles are getting up there and my warranty ends with my last payment. How much more life can I squeeze out of it? Thanks brother, keep up the unbelievable work you do!
Thanks,
Will
I would bet on troubles anywhere past 150k, and they could be expensive.
I recommend counting your blessings and moving on to a better built car.
Appreciate the insight. Thanks
That is a smart idea, I would definitely start looking for a replacement car if I were you. Those Volkswagens with the 2.0L turbo engine tend to burn a lot of oil and break down as they go past 100K miles.
Thanks for your info. Leaning towards selling soon
You were lucky! I would definitely get rid of it and look for a Toyota/Lexus depending on what you want out of the vehicle.
I agree. Thanks for the feedback
