I just bought a used 2013 Civic Si at around 80,000 miles last November and the air was working fine. Then after a few weeks of summer it started blow hot air. My dad replaced the compressor and now it will only blow cold when the fan speed is low but not when it’s high. Also sometimes when I have the air on and the car is idling the rpms will drop to almost 500 like it’s about to stall then come up again and then fall again. Thank you!

If the old compressor failed it is necessary to, at a minimum, replace the condenser, drier, and expansion valve, and flush out the rest of the AC system to remove any debris. Was this done?
