Transmission slips out of gear

Some feedback please……

Took my vehicle to the dealership and changed engine and transmission oil. I was told that everything was clean inside but as soon as I start driving the vehicle and get to 40 mph, it jumps out of gear and the engine starts racing. As soon as I hit the overdrive button, it drives fine. But without it, it does not stay in gear.
Can I get some insight on this?

Well many times it's not a good idea to change transmission oil. If it has too many miles on it and it's not been serviced regularly. It can often damage the internals of the transmission. Strangely enough old transmissions can be used to all the oil and you put in new slippery oil. It may start having problems and slipping like yours is. If it wasn't doing it before, that's about the only thing that could do that
