My truck will crank over without starting intermittently. This happens every few months and will start again before the problem is diagnosed. I have changed the fuel pump fuse and checked the fuel cutoff switch. I have had it towed to 3 different shops over the last year.

So after the truck was towed to a shop...what happened afterwards?

It started right up. There are no error codes.

Ford has a tsb and a fuse 27 relocation kit for an overheating fuse. I haven't installed the kit, but I have replaced the fuse although the existing fuse is good, checking with a voltmeter. {black}:idontknow:

After a $200 repair 2 weeks ago, my truck wouldn't start last night. Today it starts, it is hard to diagnose when it starts again. Any other ideas?

Wiring in fuse box is damaged.

Common problem. Technical service bulletin #15-0137.

Fuse 27

To repair it you will need a kit to relocate that fuse.

The part number from Ford is EL3Z-14293-A.

Instructions on how to perform the repair are included.

The problem with my truck turned out to be the fuel pump control module. The module is bolted to the steel frame and being made of aluminum corrodes and causes the module to fail. The shop replaced the module with a new mounting pads that reduce the corrosion.
