- Scotty!
Im looking for a VW GLI, saw one for $6000 usd with 100,000 miles. Private seller. Owner says there’s no issues and has replaced the wiper motor, spark plugs recently.
Is this too good of a deal? What should I watch out for when looking at this car? I have seen other GLIs of similar km and year for upwards of 9-10k.
also you are the goat
Transmission?
A 100k mile VW? No thanks. I would walk away. Those cars are expensive to keep on the road as they get older.
The replacement of the wiper motors @ 100k is a great indicator of how bad the car is going to turn out very soon lol.
If it's a DSG, don't buy it. If it's manual, it can be ok but I would get it for weekend use, but not so much for daily.
Watch out for your wallet screaming in horror, at your impending purchase..
If that’s a diesel and a manual, sure.
Otherwise, it’s a very bad idea.
