I went in for my yearly inspection at this new shop I’ve never been before. The mechanic had his daughter do the inspection. They plugged something in and then asked me to tell me how many miles is on the car. When I looked a strange looking “A” appeared in front of the digital mileage indicator which wasn’t there before. I thought it was nothing but after the inspection the “A” stayed there and was bothering the heck out of me so I went into the dash settings to reset everything to default and now the “A” is still there and the miles started all over to “0”! What in the world is going on? There was nearly 99,000 miles on the car and now I can’t keep track of the actual mileage. I mean it’ll be great for resale value but dang I don’t want to get in trouble. I’m already trying to save for an oil leak on this car. Is this going to be an expensive fix? Sheesh. I’m in Houston if someone knows a guy. At this point I’m frustrated broken AC, Broken Odometer, and oil leak. It’s a lot all at once.
You have the odometer set on Trip Meter A. There's settings for Trip Meter A, Trip Meter B, and Odometer

If the dash settings on the steering wheel don't work try pressing the SEL/RESET button on the cluster
