2013 Honda Civic Transmission Shudder

Hey Scotty,

Long time fan here, first time asking a Question! I have a 2013 Honda Civic, 211,000 KM's or 131,000 Mi. Lately I noticed it shudders only when shifting into reverse and today I noticed it was shuttering at cold start. It has no issues shifting or accelerating. The transmission fluid has not been flushed since 100,000 KM. Is that what has to happen here or could it be something more serious? Please help when you can.

Thank you very much!

Clarification: Which transmission do you have?

Automatic transmission. Thank you!

That's about 62,000 miles without a fluid and filter change.  What does the maintenance schedule in your owner's manual say is the change interval?

I looked it over, there is no interval in my Owner's Manual. On doing some research, it does need to be changed every 30,000-60,000 miles which is approx 100,000 km's. Would the issue be so simple as this?

thank you all, this is a fantastic forum and I very much appreciate the help!

My research shows trans fluid and filter should be changed ever 30,000 miles.

ok perfect, there is a local transmission shop in my town that apparently does good work, I will call tomorrow, thank you very much!
