2013 Honda CR-Z Automatic with ticking noise

Hello,

so I recently bought this car with 67k miles and a clean title. The car fax report had the maintenance logs of the previous two owners but only show oil and filter changes. This CR has the maintenance reminder system that tells you when to change the oil, spark plugs, etc; as some of you already know. I dont know if the previous two owners changed the transmission fluid, spark plugs, and if they adjusted the valves. Some have told me that this is  normal for a Honda engine, others say the valves need to be adjusted. I do want to add that the temperature was 54 degrees when the engine was running in the linked video. Also, the coolant is almost below the min mark (something I am going to address tomorrow). No check engine light and no codes. Insights are much appreciated.

thanks.

Sounds like valve clatter and not too bad. Time to adjust the valves. (With solid/mechanical valve lifters there will always be a little valve noise.)

Valve adjustment every 30,000 miles.

thank you. I have addressed the problem and the noise is gone. It was in fact the valves 🙂
