Hi Scotty, I live in Toronto, Canada. I have an option of buying a Hyundai Tucson Gl AWD with 200K km on the body with a replaced engine by the Hyundai dealership. what do you think of this vehicle? and is there something that I need to look out for before buying this vehicle? does replacing enging has a negative impact on other parts? How reliable is there AWD system? and would you recommend an AWD with that much milage on it? thanks for your help

If its actually from dealer which i doubt it would cost more than the cars worth to replace so it sounds iffy any way milage is high even if its a new engine yhe rest of it has done 200k there not known for 4wd vehicals just little runabouts get somthing more robust mitsabishie showgun   honda rav4 toyota land cruser personal favorite landrover defender bit agracultural but aluminium body and 90% ofb them ever built are still on the road

Stay away from that car:

 7 years old Korean car.

Replaced engine.

The electronics will have problems soon.

Hi Guys,

Thank you so much for your input. It was quite helpful.

I ended up going to see the car. Thought 7 years old, 200K Km, would most definatley be highway milage; and if it has a new engine, why not.... It turns out the tucson had metal shaving in the oil and was losing power. He took the car to the Hyudnai dealership and they changed the block (not the entire engine).

the car had little dings here and there, and little bit of rust... but overall, it was in quite a good condition. we checked the engine oil and it had some metal particles in the oil. the oil was recently changed; however, there were some black paprticles mixed in the oil...

I am glad I brought along a mechanic to take a look at the car... If Ii hadn't I would have probably ended up leaning toward buying the car.

thank you for the all your help.
