done a lot to try to fix this problem. it’s definitely a lot better than what it used to be but not 100% fixed yet. so it used to rev up and down on its own starting at 1000 rpms going to 3000 rpms. then when you put it into park it basically would go by itself. now i’ve replaced the throttle bodies and both mass air flow sensors. vacuumed tested the engine no leaks. the throttle body’s came from another g37 with low mileage that was tested before i got them worked fine and the sensors are heihachi. did the idle relearn after replacing everything.
So, it now it’s idling at 1k rpms sometimes 1500. its usually a steady idle but sometimes it fluctuates nothing like it used to tho. didn’t do this before but now has a very slow throttle response and low power. not sure what else to do. i’ve had idling issues for MONTHS! i took it to the shop before i replaced throttle bodies. i did replace mass air flow sensors before taking it tho. but i didn’t really get much help he said it seemed like my throttle bodies was going out and that my ecu isn’t taking the relearn. but the master technician really didn’t know and wanted to charge an arm and a leg to basically take a deeper
Start with a diagnostic scan to read out any malfunctions.
Then check live data to make sure parameters are within range
vacuumed tested the engine no leaks
how did you test it?
Perform:
Accelerator pedal position relearn
Throttle valve position relearn:
Idle air volume relearn:

@imperator p0101 P010B p0430 p0420. i done all 3 relearns. i smoke tested the engine by unplugging the airline that’s beside the brake fluid reservoir
@imperator so on the throttle valve and idle air relearn do i need a good scan tool to do the relearn? i’m having trouble doing it. also the first relearn helps but after driving about 5 mins it goes back to slow throttle response/ lack or power. i can do the relearn over and it fixes the problem again
@imperator also is there is a chance that this issue will be fixed by a new ecu?

i done all 3 relearns.
Carry on with the rest of the troubleshooting steps in the manual

If the ecu is broken then replacing the ecu will fix it. If it's not, then why play russian roulette with expensive parts and complicate matters.
relearn helps but after driving about 5 mins it goes back to slow throttle response
something is throwing it off.
Again, you need to finish the troubleshooting.

what do you mean? I posted a link to the steps.
@imperator i done both steps
well i couldn’t ever fix the infiniti messed with jt for a long time. decided id take it tk a small mechanic shop and they literally fixed it in 5 mins for free. he showed me what he did while the car was running he unplugged bank 1 throttle body then plugged jt back in after a couple secs. after that the car ran perfectly
@woodley8900 that just resets it. I wouldn't call it "fixed" yet until after you drive it 100mi
