Good evening,
As the title states, I am currently having issues closing my sun roof and raising the rear passenger window.
I have tried replacing the fuse and the motor for the rear passenger window but it only wants to go down, not up. I have ordered switches for the rear passenger door and the master control switch for the driver side door to see if that fixes the issue, but im still waiting for the parts to arrive.
As for the sun roof, the previous owner said it won't fully close. It stays popped up so she taped it down. I have yet to do any work on the sun roof as I am waiting for spring to arrive before I start messing around with it.
My question is.. Can anyone give me any advice on what I should do next if the switches don't work for the rear window? Could it be something electrical?
It's 2013 Mitsubishi Lancer SE 2.0L with 195000km on it.. 1 owner who was a deliver driver, so lot's of city driving, but highway as well.. Just to give a little in sight on the vehicle..
Also.. Any advice on the sun roof?? I can get a used motor for a decent price.. would that be the first thing I replace?
I only paid $1400 Canadian for this vehicle and it came with a new set of winter tires.. So I don't mind putting in a bit of money to get her working fully!!
Besides the windows not working properly she runs great and is really good shape!!
Thanks you in advance for any advice!!
Ozarks the switches but realize if that car had been flooded before you bought it or in any type of serious wreck that messes with the computer modules and ultimately even the sunroof in the windows are operated by computer modules these days good luck
Thanks Scotty!!! It was never flooded or in any accidents.. The previous owner is a good friend of my mothers.. The switches are on the way so im crossing my fingers it fixes the issue..
