I recently got a 2013 Chevy Tahoe ppv 5.3L v8 it has 114k miles and we changed the oil pressure sensor and the reading on the gadge is about the same. On cold starts it starts off at 40psi then as it warms up it drops to 22psi then sometimes down to 15 then fluctuates between 15 and 22. Every two days or so that I drive the check engine light comes up then it goes away and I don’t hear anything audibly wrong with the engine.I checked oil it still looks good after 1.5k miles I don’t know if the engine is on its way out or maybe the oil pump is bad what could it be?

First just replace the oil pressure sending unit they often go bad.if not that often the stupid seal in the oil pump inside the oil pan can go bad remove the oil pan take the oil pump off and reseal it

If you replace the oil pressure sensor I would replace the wiring harness as well....
