I'm looking at a 4.7 V8 engine 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Has 125.000 miles. I want to use it to tow a small RV Trailer. I believe the engine can pull it but I am concerned about the Jeep reliability. I have a 1994 Jeep Cherokee sport with the 4.0L and its a tank. Over 340,000 miles on it. My old jeep is great but too many miles and suspension work needed to even consider . Is the 2004 4.7L Jeep OK as for reliability? The newer ones I won't even consider

Well can certainly pull it but realize that is a 17-year-old Jeep and if you are going to buy it I would definitely have a Jeep pro check it out especially the automatic transmission and differentials to see if they are worn if they are don't buy it
