2014 Buick Verano Base 2.4l

Hi Scotty, I have a 2014 Buick Verano Base trim so it has the 2.4L DOHC engine. When the engine starts up cold it will stay at a higher RPM then as it warms up it will gradually go down to idle speed. When that happens, the car starts to run rough and will sometimes stall out. When I go to start it again the issue does not happen. This is intermittent and random at times but usually will not do it when the engine is already at operating temp. Sometimes it will do this same thing after the car had sat for less than an hour but not at operating temp.  I have cleaned my MAF, throttle body, replaced the spark plugs and even flushed the coolant but this was from a separate issue with a coolant leak that has been resolved. Do you think it could be the injectors, a possible coil pack not working properly on the spark plug, or possibly a coolant temperature sensor which I have seen as an issue for these models. Thanks for everything you do for the community!!!

It could be your idle air control valve I would try cleaning that out.

@Mr. Avalanche13 I will take a look in the next few days, you think maybe it is staying closed on start up? If I give the car gas while this starts to happen it goes away and idles fine when warmed up.

Ya, it sounds like it's stuck it probably has carbon build-up in there somewhere.
