mr kilmer. 2014 camry 133000 miles look like is pcv valve, i touch the hose, alot of oil burn out 500ml per 1000miles. I change my own oil every 5kmiles.
Live nj. I call the shop, 3hour labor (330$) to change the pcv valve in new model camry. Old is easy. Is it ok to leave it like that? Engine light not on. No running lean.
Look at youtube, about 1 hour job, take off right front tire. Will it hurt the catataly converter? Pop out P0420 in the future?
Question 2 2018 rav4 old model 50psi fuel ($25000), 30k miles from dealer lease car 3 years
($32000) 2022 rav4 new car? is it GDi(1500psi fuel )? The old one 2018 better? no dual fuel? 1500psi last longer? going to get one for my wife in late summer. thx
Please open a new topic for 2nd question. Thank you.
I have a 2014 Camry. It is under the intake manifold. I watched a YouTube video showing a way to remove it from the wheel well without having to remove the intake manifold, but have not tried it myself. My Camry has 65k miles.
You should replace yours since you are burning oil and have higher mileage, even if you have to pay someone. Good luck.
thx
watch 3 video change pcv valve take off right tire . 19mm deep socket with flexable ratche 6in extension loook like not ez job not hard never done it b4 scare brake the hose or not able put them back
i just brake pad belt spart plug thorotle body cleanup all my self coolant transmission fluid all myself. all diy
Regarding burning the oil, I would react the PCV valve first and aldo do the dry and wet compression test on cylinders.
For the car buying questions, I would get a 2018 model compared to the new one, because it is simpler engine and less things will break.
Also, if youn ask questions in separate posts, you will get more feedback.
Just change it yourself. It is not to difficult.
thx
The 2015 and beyond looks like a lot of labor. If your car is truly a 2014 it should be a piece of cake! Should be right on top left corner.
no piece cake same like 2015 ,harder
not a 2 min job
The Car Care Nut just made a video of how to do the replacement through the wheel well. Have your arsenal of sweat words handy.
Swear words...
yes i saw that thx not that ez
