I have a 2014 chrysler 300 3.6L that has a misfire on cylinder 1. Took it the Dealership on Veterans Day. They kept my car for 13 days. The original misfire was on cylinder 5. They reached out to the Chrysler Star Team who told them to replace the head on the side of cylinder 5. However, dealership wanted clarification as to why Chrysler Star Team would tell them to change the head on cylinder 5. I got teed off and told them to put my car back together and I'll pick it back up with the misfire on the same cylinder 5. However, I got it back with the misfire on cylinder 1 now. The dealership said nothing was wrong with the ecm, the valve on cylinder 5, no sludge build up or anything. My car is low jacked and it was reading to me that too rich/lean fuel mix and cold start ignition timing.
I've purchased a new ecm from flagship 1 and installed it on yesterday (12/15/2020). After driving for 30min yesterday the check engine light comes back on and says I have a misfire on cylinder 1. What could be the issue? Also the printout from dealership said I had an 8% vacuum leak.
Also I've installed 6 new spark plugs, coil packs, and 6 new injectors already.
As of Saturday 1/16/2021 I’ve installed 6 new coil packs and 6 new spark plugs and bought a new computer programmed to my vin number and still having the same issue. Now I’m getting a P0300, P301, and a P2302 codes. What can possibly be wrong now after all the new installs?
well vacuum makes can't do that but realize if they did a head work on your car they had to take a bunch of the engine and particularly easily ruined any part wiring vacuum leak unit
You being "teed off" will cost you dearly. If you had not lost control you might still be fighting to get the car fixed right but the problem would be theirs and not yours. Now the one to be mad at is going to be yourself. Hope you find solutions fast.
