I would like to know if the mounts used for engines would also be used for the transmission? A Mechanic reccomended I replace both engine mounts and transmission mounts. I was thinking that both the engine and transmission were held by the same mounts.

They have separate mounts, otherwise, if you took out your engine, your transmission would fall off.
Apologies but I forgot to add my vehicle information in regards to the motor and transmission mounts.
2014 honda accord 2.4L automatic with 160,000 miles.
