2014 F150 5.0 4x4 50k miles. Rattle from under truck when going up hill in 5th gear. Only in 5th? Stops as soon trans shifts. Crazy.
Yeah I have a 2015 5.0 that bumps slightly going from 3-4 when I romp on it. The 6R80 6 speed transmission is known for being harsh. Some people get a bump on downshifts others get it on the up. There was a re flash the dealers were doing, some people had good results and others didn’t really notice a difference. I know people with 6R80s that have 200k mi on them and they just lived with the harsh shifts. It’s an overall great transmission and I wish Ford kept it going. Watch Fordtechmuckaloco on YouTube.
