New Battery, brother drove about 20 miles and car completely shut off. Got it jumped and made it about 1 mile, jumped again and made it another mile to Autozone. Changed alternator. Turn car on after new alternator and "Check Charging system" light comes on but car can go more than a mile now (drove about 5 miles no jump needed) Checked fuse #17 under hood (We thought maybe that was it, it was not) Cleaned battery connections to make sure it was getting good connection. What else can we check? Serpentine belt is fine, doesnt seem loose at all. They have owned this car since brand new. His wife drove it home from Tn (to Texas) No issues, parked it (in garage) where it has sat for 3 months. They had someone starting it every week to keep battery charged but recently they couldnt get it to start (dead battery). We went last week to move car and jumped it with my battery. It started and ran fine, pulled it back in Garage (no issues, it wasnt running but maybe 3 minutes). This morning was the first time they've drove it since they brought it back to Tx (They were in TN working but just got home yesterday for vacation so this morning was the first time they drove it once they got the new battery put in)
