I purchased a used 2008 RAV4 & it keeps on stalling out! The code that came up was P0705.The dash has an error code of VSC.I am not able to turn that code off in my car? Not sure if that's part of the problem? When the car stalls a red light flashes on the dash over VSC code on the dash.I already replaced #2 sensor.The car still stalls out! When the car stalls out,I turn off the car off ,then it starts back up! It used to happen 3 times a day.Now it's happening like every 2 days? I am now as we speak getting the gear shifter replaced,was told the car is shifting into the wrong gears? Will this solve the problem of the car stalling out? I really hope so because I still haven't made my fist payment yet! Would the gears shifting incorrectly,make a car stall and bring up that VSC code? Or is the VSC code on the dash another problem all together? Thank you! 😕😭🤬
I would assume the VSC code is a code by itself. The other code has to do with the transmission range sensor and that isn't going to make a vehicle stall out. To pinpoint the styling odd problem, I would pay a mechanic if I were you to road test it with his fancy scan tool. Then when it stalls out he can analyze the data and see what conked out
