My car randomly does not want to start when i engage the clutch. It happens every so often. Recently changed the clutch 2 months ago and it does it less. Luckily for now I park on hills so I can pop it in 2nd and turn it on like that. Any help would be great!!!

By not starting do you mean that it cranks but the engine doesn't fire up, or does it not crank at all?

@chucktobias does not crank at all. The starter clicks but the starter is new and was already checked and works.

@e-rock Have you checked operation of the starter when the problem occurs by hotwiring the solenoid? Or, hitting the starter with a piece of wood or maybe a dead-blow hammer? It's not unusual for new parts to be defective these days. Also make sure your battery cables are tight.

@chucktobias yes I did all that and checked.

@e-rock I'd think if the starter solenoid is clicking but the starter does not crank it's either a problem with battery cables or the starter itself. At least that's been my own experience, not sure what to make of this.

@chucktobias thank you. Hopefully I can figure it out.

@e-rock If it wasn't for the fact that it sometimes works I'd suspect the battery, but if the battery was bad the starter just would not be able to crank at all. Based on what's being reported it's a head-scratcher. Maybe someone else in the brain trust here will come up with something we're missing.

@chucktobias the battery is new as well. All connections are good. It’s just so random that it’s driving me crazy.
