- 2014 Kia Soul, 80,000km, bought used over a year ago from a dealership. Recently after buying I had on and off throttle body codes, which were fixed when I took the car in to a mechanic as the previous owner had done a bad reworking job at the TPS (they redid the wiring to the TPS). Yesterday, which is about 6 months after this repair having seen no issues, the check engine light and the traction control light came on while I was sitting in stop and go traffic on the highway. I noticed there was very little acceleration, and once we got moving I could barely get the car past 60km/h, and it took forever to get there. So I got off the highway an restarted my car. The traction control light was now off and the car felt like it drove fine, however the check Engine light was still on and I scanned the code p0221. Any advice??

The code means there is something wrong with the wiring circuit for the throttle position sensor. Looks like you have a wiring problem again with the throttle. I would take it to a trustworthy mechanic to get it checked out and to get it rewired properly.
