When Accelerating and shifting from 4th at high RPM to 5th I get a Cylinder 4 misfire then if I persist accelerating into 6th I get a Cylinder 7 misfire. I used to have 76 gas (or anything Circle K has) but recently went to a super cheap gas station and tested, no more misfires but I have not extensively tested this new gas... Do you think it quite possibly be just the gas or is there an underlying issue? My forum buddies say that the Coil Pack Ford used on these cars are weak and prone to doing this misfire... I plan to upgrade the pack anyways but I wanted your opinion beforehand...
hey if it goes away with the other gas obviously it was the gas but if not yes coil packs can do that as can weak valve springs at higher RPMs when the valve springs get worn they will cause misfires only when really being stressed

Well, it's not the spark plugs, changed them for new ones. It's not the coil pack as I did the swap and it stayed in cylinder 4. The spark plug was flattened as if it was hit though, but I'm told it could have been detention that caused it... {black}:scared:
