I have a 98 tacoma with a leaking rear end on the driver side. I'm told it's the seal thats leaking diff fluid and that only the dealership is recommended to do the highly skilled and taskful repair. Is it worth repairing and dealing with what the internet is saying is bound to be a reoccurring problem or should I just sell it?
It's an extended cab and has almost 150k miles.

Any knowledgeable mechanic can repair that for you. Avoid the stealership and save money.

Hahaha, hilarious!
Just take it to an honest independent mechanic in your area, and have them give you a correct diagnosis & repair estimate.

I did, they told me that's it's a job too big for them and that the dealership would get it done right and quicker. FML
