Hi, I have a 2104 Nissan Murano SL with a power lift gate. It will not respond when I push any of the lift gate buttons in the car or the key fob. I doubled checked to see if the auto open switch was set to off but it wasnt. When I press the open switch on the outside of the rear hatch it will make a beeping noise like it is about to open but try to lift up for a second and then pull down and latch. It will only do that once until you reset the vehicle by pulling the storage fuse switch in the fuse box under the steering wheel. I feel like it could be the lift gate control module, latching assembly, or simply need to go be reset at the dealer. All of these option are costly and I would like to try to narrow them down first.

Being computer-controlled the iift gate system really should be diagnosed with a high-end/dealer-level scan tool.
