My RAM lost its electronic power steering as I started it up one morning. I checked the fuses and battery connections. Clean the battery ground as I saw that was an issue with the 2019s. It had worked a couple times but then doesn't. I just changed the 4+ year old battery as it was reading low. Still get the warning light and no power steering. When it works it works fine so I don't think it's the rack. I'm at a loss, help!
Maybe a hinky steering angle sensor? If simple things like checking connections, fuses, and grounds has not helped it's going to take a professional-grade bidirectional scan tool to diagnose that steering system. I would find a good local mechanic that has the kind of fancy scan tools that Scotty uses in his videos.
