I recently bought a used 2014 Acura TL base with Advance package, 88K miles.

It has been regularly serviced at the dealer, all maintenance recommendations done.  Last visit was in December 2023 where, along with oil changed, and vehicle checked by the dealer, the transmission fluid was changed.  My question is, it shifts from the 1st gear to the second gear pretty quickly as it starts moving, especially if I softly hit the accelerator, and jolts a tinny bit.  I owned a 2009 Acura TL base prior to this one, and it shifted a lot smoother.  Anything I can do to make the shifting smoother, and ultimately take care of my transmission?  Thank you so much!

Well if you could take it to a transmission shop they can check to see if there's any updated software. As they age. Some will do that in a software fix can fix them. But if not live with it cuz rebuilding those things cost a fortune

Thanks!  Would you recommend using Lucas transmission fix?

Transmission fluid was recently changed at the dealer, could that be because wrong transmission fluid was used?

Thanks again for your help!

Scotty does not usually revisit topics he has already answered. He has said in the past that the Lucas product does help in some circumstances. However as Scotty said in his answer here it would be best to have a proper diagnosis done by a transmission expert with a fancy scan tool.
