Hi Scotty,

we have a 2015 chevy sonic with an oil sensor that started dinging after the oil was changed at the dealership. They put a new oil sensor in, but it continues to ding. The mechanic found fluid in the center ECM plug. I found a youtube video that helped me figure out it was coolant somehow getting into the wire harness. My mechanic installed a new thermostat housing and blew out the plug, but it started dinging 5 minutes after driving it. Any idea how coolant is getting in there?

Well it feeds through the wiring and then generally it shorts out the computer those things are so poorly made they are junk. The wires wick coolant up and then short things out if you follow the wire from the computer down somewhere you'll see the coolant is being whipped up probably from the sensor itself

Thanks Scotty…kinda what we figured. Doesn’t sound like a cheap fix😬
